Great Migrators Southern Hemisphere

Migration routes of the humpback whale and arctic tern from the northern and southern hemispheres. Each species represents extremely long migrations in sea and air with the whale’s migration of 6000 miles from arctic to Hawaii being one of the longest of any mammal and the arctic tern’s route of up to 56,000 miles from the arctic to the antarctic being the longest migration in the animal kingdom.
